The CX8903 is a wide-input-voltage-range switching buck DC-DC controller supporting input voltages up to 100V.
It features low standby power consumption, high efficiency, low ripple, and excellent bus voltage regulation and load regulation.
The CX8903 incorporates a 100V/90mΩ power switch supporting up to 3A output current. The output voltage can be set by adjusting the voltage divider resistor connected to the FB pin.
The CX8903 employs fixed-frequency PWM control with a typical switching frequency of 100kHz. It enters skip-cycle mode during light loads to achieve high conversion efficiency.
The CX8903 integrates soft-start, over-temperature protection, output short-circuit protection, current limiting, and cycle-by-cycle current detection to enhance system reliability.
Packaged in an SOP-8L, the CX8903 requires minimal external components and is ideal for wide-input DC-DC buck applications.
