TDFN3X3 -12The CX8572 is a constant‑voltage constant‑current step‑down DC‑DC converter featuring simple implementation, outstanding performance and high stability and reliability.
The CX8572 is a PWM controller chip designed for high‑performance synchronous step‑down DC‑DC applications. It supports a wide DC input voltage range of 4.5‑36 V, with adjustable DC output voltage from 3‑28 V, and delivers precise constant‑voltage and constant‑current step‑down PWM regulation.
The CX8572 integrates multiple protection functions: cycle‑by‑cycle current limiting, short‑circuit protection, under‑voltage lockout (UVLO) and thermal shutdown. The built‑in soft‑start function prevents inrush current during power‑on.
Adopting a current‑mode control scheme, the CX8572 achieves fast transient response. Its internal compensation eliminates external compensation components and simplifies design. External shutdown is realized by pulling the EN pin logic level low; in standby mode, the supply current is approximately 20 µA.
