Overview

CX1015 is a high‑performance depletion‑mode JFET for auxiliary power supply of switching‑power‑supply PWM controllers. It conveniently supplies power to the PWM chip in power systems with wide output‑voltage swing, such as QuickCharge (QC2.0/3.0/4.0) and USB Type‑C PD. When the system output voltage rises, it clamps the VCC voltage of the PWM chip to no higher than 31 V to guarantee proper operation of the PWM chip. Its 0‑150 V input‑voltage range enables the system to support output‑voltage variation from 3.3 V up to 20 V and beyond.

Thanks to its high‑integration design, the chip requires few auxiliary components during operation. It simplifies system design and effectively reduces PCB footprint, making it suitable for high‑density, compact fast‑charging power‑supply systems.

The chip determines its switching state by detecting the source-drain voltage of the built-in &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;MOSFET, making it compatible with flyback converters in continuous mode, discontinuous mode, and quasi-resonant &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;operation modes.
