
Overview
The CX72GDXXXH series is a high-performance quasi-resonant primary-side regulated power supply IC with high-precision constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) output, featuring a built-in high-voltage power GaN transistor. This product is designed for high-performance AC/DC switching power supplies with minimal external components and low system cost.
The CX72GDXXXH series provides comprehensive and high-performance intelligent protection features,
including cycle-by-cycle over-current protection, soft start, chip over-temperature protection, output over-voltage protection, VDD under-voltage lockout protection, and VDD over-voltage lockout protection.
The CX72GDXXXH series delivers accurate CV/CC output without the need for an optocoupler, secondary-side control circuitry, or loop compensation components, while maintaining excellent stability. It offers good output
voltage regulation, high average efficiency, and standby power consumption of less than 75mW.
The CX72GDXXXH series features built-in output line loss compensation, which can be adjusted by modifying the resistance value of the FB voltage divider resistors. The chip ’s unique PWM/PFM operating mode minimizes audio energy, ensuring no audible noise across the full load range.
The CX72GDXXXH series provides an excellent design platform for high cost-performance flyback switching power supply systems with ultra-low standby power consumption, meeting the requirements of Level VI energy efficiency and the European Energy Saving Standard Eur 2.0.
