Overview

The CX72GDXXS series is a high-performance quasi-resonant, high-precision constant voltage (CV) and

constant current (CC) output primary-side power supply IC with an integrated high-voltage power GaN transistor. This product enables the design of high-performance AC-DC switching power supplies with few external

components and low system cost.

The CX72GDXXS series provides a comprehensive set of intelligent protection features, including cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, soft-start, chip over-temperature protection, output overvoltage protection, VDD

undervoltage lockout protection, and VDD overvoltage lockout protection.

The CX72GDXXS series delivers precise constant voltage and constant current (CV/CC) output without the need for an optocoupler, secondary-side control circuit, or loop compensation circuit, while maintaining good stability. It offers excellent output voltage regulation capability, high average efficiency, and standby power  consumption less than 75mW.

The CX72GDXXS series features a built-in output cable drop compensation function, which can be adjusted by

changing the FB resistor divider values. The unique PWM/PFM operating mode minimizes audio energy, ensuring no audible noise across the entire load range.

The CX72GDXXS series provides an excellent design platform for high cost-effectiveness flyback switching

power supply systems with ultra-low standby power consumption, meeting Level 6 energy efficiency and Eur2.0 standby power requirements.

The chip determines its switching state by detecting the source-drain voltage of the built-in &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;MOSFET, making it compatible with flyback converters in continuous mode, discontinuous mode, and quasi-resonant &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;operation modes.
