Electric bicycle is one of the most popular modes of travel at present. When we ride an electric bicycle, we can see a dashboard on the vehicle. This dashboard is akin to the "brain" of the electric bicycle, displaying information such as battery power and speed, providing us with an efficient and convenient means of transportation. To meet the power supply needs of electric vehicle dashboards, Cheng Xin Micro has launched the CX8902, CX8903, and CX8901X series of buck-boost voltage regulator chips, which can stabilize the input voltage of 10-100V to 5V/2-3A, providing a stable and reliable power source for the electric vehicle dashboard.

The CX8903 buck-boost voltage regulator chip adopts a simple circuit design, which reduces the chip's power consumption and temperature, thereby enhancing its reliability. This chip has a wide voltage input range of 10-100V, capable of meeting the voltage requirements of different electric vehicles. Whether it is a light electric vehicle of 12V or a heavy-duty electric vehicle of 100V, the CX8903 can easily cope, achieving stable voltage reduction output. The CX8903 has a precise feedback control system that achieves stable control of the output voltage, unaffected by external interference. CX8903 Overview: 

The CX8903 is a switch-mode step-down DC-DC controller that supports a wide input voltage range, with the highest input voltage reaching up to 100V. 

The CX8903 features low standby power consumption, high efficiency, low ripple, and excellent bus voltage and load regulation. 

It has an integrated 100V/90mΩ power tube that supports 3A current output, and the output constant voltage can be set by adjusting the voltage divider on the FB pin. 

The CX8903 uses a fixed-frequency PWM control method, with a typical switching frequency of 100KHz. Under light load, it enters a skip-cycle mode to achieve high conversion efficiency. 

It integrates soft-start and over-temperature protection circuits, output short-circuit protection, current limiting, and per-cycle current detection functions, enhancing the reliability of the system. 

The CX8903 is available in an SOP-8L package, with a minimalist external design, making it suitable for a wide range of input DC-DC step-down applications.
