4.8A built-in MOS voltage reduction scheme selection
September 09, 2022

4.8A built-in MOS voltage reduction scheme selection, what is the difference between CX8576's withstand voltage of 30V/40V?

Which type of built-in MOS current 4.8A small volume DC-DC buck chip does a customer choose?

It is recommended to choose CX8576, which is a dual circuit current limiting built-in dual N MOS, 4.8 current high-performance DC-DC, suitable for small volume car chargers and other charging devices for dual voltage reduction function.

The difference between 30V and 40V is:

1. 30V/40V withstand voltage is different

2. Built-in dual N MOS, with different MOS internal resistances

30V built-in 10m Ω High side NMOS+10m Ω Low side NMOS

40V built-in 15m Ω High side NMOS+12m Ω Low side NMOS

3. The output voltage and current can be set to 30V (2.5V-20V)/40V (3.0V-20V)

4. 30V 4-pin EN pin/40V NC suspended

5. Short circuit feedback voltage different 30V 0.4V/40V 0.6V

6. 30V switch frequency adjustable

The DC-DC solution requires a voltage of 40V, 2 USB ports, 4A current, and QC3.0 fast charging. It is recommended to choose CX8576+CX601 as a highly cost-effective DC-DC power supply fast charging and voltage reduction solution.

The original factory can provide CX8576 sample application, CX8576 solution development and technical support!

CX8576 can be paired with QC protocol or PD protocol to form a cost-effective QC/PD fast charging overall solution. Please apply for samples and conduct DEMO testing for details.
