The built-in Type-C protocol of CX2919AC can support automatic wake-up when Type-C devices are inserted, intelligently recognize the forward and reverse insertion of plugs, and achieve connection. The integrated PD protocol supports Bidirectional Markup Coding (BMC), integrates hardware's physical layer protocol and protocol engine, and does not require software to participate in encoding and decoding. When one of the Type-C and Type-A ports is connected to the device, both Type-C and Type-A ports can achieve independent fast charging function.
When both Type-C and Type-A are connected to the device, the output voltage will be reduced to 5V to supply power to the device. Specifically, when the Type-A port is continuously connected to the Apple charging cable but not connected to the Apple phone, the Type-C port still has a fast charging function. When used as a charger, the charging cable is often connected to the charger. Perfect solution to the fast charging problem when Type-A and Type-C ports are connected to charging cable applications. In addition, the Type-A port has a low cutoff current threshold of 10mA when fully charged, which can support small current charging of intelligent wearable devices.
CX2919AC dynamically adjusts voltage by connecting a Sink/Source current source to the feedback pins of AC-DC or DC-DC. Both the startup and voltage regulation processes have a soft start function, achieving a smooth voltage transition.
CX2919AC has multiple built-in protection mechanisms to ensure equipment safety, including dynamic overvoltage/undervoltage/overcurrent protection (the protection point can be adjusted proportionally based on the operating voltage/current requested by the equipment); Start monitoring (before VBUS output, it will monitor whether the port voltage is in a safe state).
CX2919AC integrated 10m Ω VBUS power switch transistor, integrated 10 m Ω current detection resistor, built-in VPWR and
VBUS dual discharge path saves peripheral devices and can quickly shut down the output and restore to a safe state in case of errors.
CX2919AC adopts TSSOP16 packaging, with a simple peripheral and easy to pass USB PD certification testing.
