The built-in Type-C protocol of CX2919C can support automatic wake-up when Type-C devices are inserted, intelligently recognize the forward and reverse insertion of plugs, and achieve connection. The integrated PD protocol supports Bidirectional Markup Coding (BMC), integrates hardware's physical layer protocol and protocol engine, and does not require software to participate in encoding and decoding.
CX2919C supports a maximum output power of 65W, and the broadcast PDO voltage can be configured as 5V/9V/12V/15V/20V. The APDO voltage can be selected from two levels of 5V Prog/9V Prog/15V Prog/20V Prog, and the APDO voltage range can be flexibly configured.
CX2919C achieves dynamic voltage regulation through a Sink/Source current source connected to the feedback pins of AC-DC or DC-DC. It has a soft start/voltage regulation function during both startup and voltage regulation processes, achieving smooth voltage transition.
CX2919C has multiple built-in protection mechanisms to ensure equipment safety, including dynamic overvoltage/undervoltage/overcurrent protection (the protection point can be adjusted proportionally based on the operating voltage/current requested by the equipment); Start monitoring (before VBUS output, it will monitor whether the port voltage is in a safe state); DP/DM and CC1/CC2 overvoltage protection.
CX2919C integrates a 10m Ω VBUS channel power switch and dual discharge channels, with a constant voltage control loop. It can also quickly shut down the output and restore to a safe state in the event of an error. It can easily pass USB PD certification testing without the need to add components for certification.
CX2919C adopts the ESOP8 packaging form, and the periphery can work without additional components, providing optimal BOM cost characteristics.
