A single chip of CX8831CB integrates the synchronous buck DC-DC+ fast charging protocol, which minimizes 

the number of components outside the chip, effectively optimizes the BOM cost of the scheme, and provides 

customers with a DC-DC power supply solution with high cost performance and competitive advantages in the 

market.

CX8831CB single Type-C PD fast charging protocol chip, with simplified periphery, adopts minimalist ESOP-8L 

package, and the maximum output power is 45W. CX8831CB only needs a few capacitors, resistors and 

inductors. Recommendation of fast charging protocol with small space, small volume, high efficiency and low

CX8831CB Overview:

CX8831CB is a synchronous buck converter with built-in multi fast charging protocols. It supports USB Type-C 

and PD3.1 protocols, Qualcomm QC2.0/3.0/3.0+ protocol, Huawei FCP/SCP/HVSCP protocol, VOOC protocol, 

MediaTek PE2.0 protocol, Samsung AFC protocol, USB BC1.2 DCP protocol and Apple2.4A charging specification,

and provides charging standards for vehicle charging ports, each.


CX8831CB adopts COT control mode, with built-in current sampling circuit and ripple compensation circuit. 

Built-in double N-type low impedance power switch tube, the conversion efficiency is as high as 95.6% when 

24V input and 9V3A output.


CX8831CB has an input working voltage of up to 36V and an output voltage range of 3.3V to 21V, which can 

provide a maximum output power of 45W. The output voltage and current are adjusted according to the 

identified fast charging protocol.


CX8831CB can adapt the input voltage and automatically adjust the output power according to the input voltage.


The output of CX8831CB has CV/CC characteristics. When the output current is less than the set value, the CV 

mode is output and the output voltage is constant. When the output current is greater than the set value, the 

CC mode is output and the output voltage is reduced.


CX8831CB has the function of cable compensation, which increases the output voltage with the increase of 

output current to compensate the voltage drop caused by cable impedance.


CX8831CB supports secondary burning and can realize online upgrade.
