The CXW 20W PD fast charging solution has achieved mass production and has been selected and adopted by multiple e-commerce brands such as Philips, Pinsheng, Tamas, Maoshuo, Ohm Motor, Yubo, MOMAX, etc. The market feedback is consistent and good.

The primary control power supply scheme of this scheme adopts CX7509C, which is a current mode PWM control chip with built-in high-voltage power MOSFET, and is applied to schemes with power below 22W.


Working in PWM mode at a fixed switching frequency, which is precisely set internally. When unloaded or lightly loaded, the operating frequency is adjusted internally by the IC. The chip can operate in green mode to reduce losses during light loads and improve the overall efficiency of the machine. During startup and operation, only a small current is required, and a large resistor can be used in the startup circuit to further reduce power consumption during standby. 


The chip is equipped with a slope compensation circuit, which avoids the occurrence of subharmonic oscillations and improves system stability when the circuit operates at a high duty cycle. A leading edge blanking time is built-in to eliminate the impact of diode reverse recovery current in the buffer network on the circuit. The use of frequency jitter technology can effectively improve the EMI performance of the system. 


The frequency hopping frequency of the system is set above audio (22KHz), which can avoid system noise during operation. Built-in multiple protections, including cycle by cycle current limiting protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (VDD OVP), VDD overvoltage clamping, undervoltage protection (UVLO), over temperature protection (OTP), etc. The EMI characteristics of the system can be better improved through the internal soft drive structure.


The CX7509C is widely used, in addition to being used in fast charging adapters, it can also be used in other chargers, set-top boxes, hard drive box power supplies, open switch power supplies, or PC standby power supplies.

CX7538X is a high-performance synchronous rectification control circuit for the secondary side of a switching power supply. In low voltage and high current switching power supply applications, it easily meets the 6-level energy efficiency and is an ideal solution for ultra-low conduction voltage drop rectifier devices. It also supports switching power supply operating modes such as CCM/QR/DCM. The loss generated by the extremely low conduction voltage drop is much smaller than the conduction loss of Schottky diodes, greatly improving the conversion efficiency of the system and significantly reducing the temperature of the rectifier devices.


This set of 20W 1A1C fast charging and discharging plugs exported to Japan is a 20W PD fast charging solution developed based on CX7509C and CX7538B, which supports matching with mainstream PD fast charging protocol chips on the market.
